About Isabella Interiors
Hi – I am Emma Isabella Smuts, founder of Isabella Interiors and is inspired by joyful living, simple pleasures, togetherness, peace and warmth. Or Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) – celebrates family and friends and taking time for relaxing and recharging. Hygge embraces community and the everyday; it is sharing a meal at the kitchen table and sitting quietly by a roaring fire on a rainy night. I feel a deep connection to the concept of Hygge and use it to create spaces for living; spaces that help my clients fall in love with their homes.
I am the daughter of a Karoo sheep farmer and live in Stellenbosch. With a background in fashion design, I enjoy playing with fabrics, textures and style.
The “lived in” look is my signature look; my passion is to create elegant, yet comfortable spaces.
When I am not designing beautiful spaces, I enjoy reading, spending time with my architect husband and enjoying the winelands with lovely friends visiting markets, shows, painting and recently joined the Stellenbosch urban sketchers. making memories and enjoying a beautiful blessed life.
